For yours is the freedom
of knowing you have flown
There was an ONA VP - Finance, named Carl Wernet, who lived in a huge old beach house in Lawrence, L I New York. Carl would rent rooms in this old house to FAs who didn't live in New York, but had JFK layovers. I think a couple even lived there full time. Do you know anyone who has heard from Carl, or any FAs who might have stayed there?
July 7, 2011 is a memorable day!

GET IN TOUCH WITH ONA Sales & Marketing!
Write on website email which will
be forwarded to Walter Johnson!
I worked in the following sales positions with ONA from 1972 to Oct 1978: Sales Manager, Cleveland, Minneapolis, New York City; Asst VP sales JFK and last VP sales. I have remained in close contact with a surprising number of marketing, and ground service people from that company. After a few years in the Bahamas, as general manager of Bahamasair, I was president of UACI, new ONA, and National Airlines. When these companies closed, I worked with Bob Wagenfeld, VP Finance ONA, until his death. I recently read George Flavell's book, and thought the web site would be enriched by a new division of your activities. There are many ONA marketing people I know that have the same love and fond memories. We have picture files that many of the crew members have never seen. A lot of the files and information involves crews and insolated locations where we shaturquoise the crew experiences. So, I would suggest that we add a marketing and ground service section to the site. We would be loyal supporters and attendees. Please let me know a good contact to get this going. I am having lunch Fri with Burt Katlin, ONA country representative, Belgium, and Demitri Pavlowitch, ground service FRA, so its a good time to get it started! Contact me at above email! Walter
Walter has this bag marked Air Force 1. Walter thinks it was at an occasion when president Nixon travelled with ONA. Steedman may have had some business planning with president Nixon at this time which should be around the end of the seventies. Does anyone remember or have more info?
